The Fate of the Furious (2017): A fun, crazy, entertaining summer popcorn flick :)
The Fate of the Furious (or Fast and Furious 8) is the newest installment is the Fast and Furious franchise that has continuously evolved within each film, bringing out crazy, physics-defying action sequences and cool new characters that are certainly going to please audiences. I had a fun time watching Fate. This movie pretty much has everything that audiences and fans will come to expect of the series by now. All of the actors bring their charm and wit to each scene they're in; The Rock and Jason Statham have excellent banter and are the highlights of the film. The action set-pieces are over-the-top, but in a good and satisfying way since the filmmakers and actors are having fun and committing themselves. There is an insane prison riot fight, followed by an even crazier "zombie" car chase sequence and a final showdown involving a nuclear submarine. You really have to suspend your disbelief to enjoy these movies, but the heart of the film is about family and the bond between the main characters that prompts them to protect each other. So overall, it's a fun time that mainstream audiences should enjoy.
